Thanksgiving
Day, Dear God
Two simple words, we forgot.
From times to times, day to day
Take it, use it, but never say.
"Thank you” for what we received
"Thank you” for what we believed
"Thank you” for what we have had
"Thank you”, "Thank you",
we said.
Thanks you, mother of nature
Lushes green, past, present, and future
Thanks you, farmers in the field
Supply foods, we cook our meals.
Thanks you, soldiers at the war
Guard peaces around the world
Leave family, guard our land
There, they live in desert sand.
Thanks you, our police officers
Watch our neighbors, keep out dangers
Patrol streets, days and nights
Keep us safe, let us sleep tight.
Thanks you, firemen with courage
Keep our trees stand still in forests
Stop fires before it spreads wild
Save our homes, save our lives.
Thanks you, respectful teachers
Show our children to be better
Reading, writing, and calculating
Their patience, their works, fascinating.
Thanks you, family members
Bad times, good times, all together
From the hearts of you and me
Make it the best as it could be.
"Thank You” America, freedom of
speech
A country, many opportunities to succeed
"Thank You” America, freedom land
Together, we shall stand.
"Thank You", two simple words
Appreciate around the world
Regardless where you live
"Thank You" just by your lips.
